Spray tanning is the new trend to obtain beautifully tanned skin – skin that will have people asking “where have you been?!”. Due to the extended dangerous outcomes and results of ultraviolet rays from the sun and tanning beds, spray tanning has become the benchmark for acquiring a risk free glowing tan. For you individuals who still want a tanned complexion and are looking for a safe alternative – sunless tans are your best option!

Tan Tips
Preparing for your appointment!

Here are our tips to help you achieve a NATURAL, HEALTHY ORGANIC BRONZE GLOW!

Please feel free to ask us any questions!

Before Tan Tips:

  • Discuss your tan color options with your spray tan professional, to get the best results. Also, inform Nicki who is spraying you of any dry skin areas, broken or abraded skin, wounds and allergies.

  • Make sure deodorant, make-up and Moisturizers are removed before your spray tan appointment, as it will provide a barrier to the spray tan's absorption.  We have some baby wipes or wet towelettes to remove deodorant or make-up.

  • Remember to apply barrier cream to the elbows, ankles, and knees so that they don’t get too dark.  Boss Body Tans provides the barrier cream.

 

  • Remove all jewelry prior to a spray tan and leave them off for at least 8 hours after.

 

  • Please place Sticky feet protectors on each foot.  Sticky foot protectors are provided by Boss Body Tans.  If you would like nose plugs, please ask.

 

  • Please wear a hair net that is provided for you, protecting your hair.

After Tan Tips:

  • Try to avoid water for at least 4-8 hours after you tan. (No dishes). 

 

  • Try to avoid activities that will cause excessive perspiring for 12 hours after a spray tan. 

 

  • Shower 12 -24 hours POST Spray Tan to let the DHA (dihydroxyacetone) Bronzing agent to develop fully, avoid using soap and shower only with warm (not hot) water to wash off the excess tan color.  Rinse, but DO NOT SCRUB. You may notice the water coloring, but don't freak out; it's probably just the bronzer washing off, not your actual tan. 

 

  • After our first shower, try to gently pat your skin dry and avoid vigorous rubbing when towel drying.  You can now apply deodorants and fragrances.

 

  • MOISTURIZE DAILY- To Extend the LIFE OF your beautiful bronze tan! ENJOY! :)  Spray tans last about a week, give or take from one application.
